His Promises Still Stand
These are difficult times. And it is in difficult times that the promises of God are proven!
I have been reading in Joshua recently. As he approached the end of his life, he made this amazing statement:
And now I am about to go the way of all the earth, and you know in your hearts and souls, all of you, that not one word has failed of all the good things that the Lord your God promised concerning you. All have come to pass for you; not one of them has failed (Joshua 23:14, ESV).
In chapter 24, he recounts in detail how God has been faithful to His promises.
In times like these, while many, if not most of us, are homebound due to the coronavirus, while our nation is gripped in fear, His promises still stand!
His promise for us, claimed by Lorne Sanny: “The least one shall become a clan, and the smallest one a mighty nation; I am the Lord; in its time I will hasten it” (Isaiah 60:22 ESV) still stands!
Jesus’ promise, “Whatever you ask in My Name, this I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son” (John 14:13, ESV) still stands!
What promises can you claim today for your life? For your family? For your ministry? For The Navigators?
When we come through this current crisis, we, too, will be able to say, “Not one word has failed of all the good things that the Lord your God promised”!
